Set in 1983, it follows the story of Shaun who has just started his summer holidays, and despite all of the sub-cultures around at that time he still finds himself alone. Until a chance meeting with a group of skinheads, he decides to join their group and their way of life.

Slumdog millionaire – 2008

Set in India, it is based around the main character Jamal Malik. After he has appeared on ‘Who wants to be a millionaire?’ It follows his story as he explains how he knew the answers to every question before being taken away by police who suspect him of cheating. He recalls flashbacks that show that all of his life experiences can be related to the questions.

Dreaming of a brighter future for himself in the megacity of Manila, Oscar Ramirez and his family abandon their poverty stricken lives in the rice fields in northern Philippines.
